Town of Lancaster Indoor Training Facility

Sponsored by Russell J. Salvatore

In March 2014 the Town of Lancaster Indoor Training Facility sponsored by Russell J. Salvatore opened after many years of planning, design, and fundraising. Board Members from the Lancaster-Depew Baseball League along with the Lancaster Town Board steered the project to completion and the Indoor Training Facility is now the home for House and Travel Youth Baseball Teams from Lancaster-Depew Baseball League.

The Town of Lancaster Indoor Training Facility is arguably the best baseball training and softball training indoor facility in Western New York and one of the top facilities across New York State. With a full ninety (90) foot turf field, two (2) large batting cages with Iron Mike pitching machines and Jugg’s pitching machines, one (1) mezzanine batting cage, and two (2) batting tee stations multiple teams and players may be training at the same time for the outdoor season. The Indoor Training Facility also offers a separate area for personal and team performance training and a conference room for meetings and for celebrating birthdays and special events.

Lancaster-Depew Baseball League operates and maintains the Indoor Training Facility with the highest integrity and commitment to the development of Lancaster-Depew Baseball League players, umpires, coaches, and managers. The Lancaster-Depew Baseball League provides a safe, fun, clean, and competitive environment for our players, coaches, employees and a family friendly environment for our families and guests.

The Indoor Training Facility is a major contributor to help our league reach its primary goal to develop players and individuals that will be contributors to our local high school sports programs and also become strong members and volunteers for our community. Lancaster-Depew Baseball League offers professional instruction and training to develop complete baseball players, softball players, and athletes. The HIT (House Instruction & Training) Program and the HIT Squad are the first such programs in the country that offer professional baseball and softball skills instruction geared to House baseball and softball players.

With a volunteer facility management team, a paid staff of local high school and college baseball players, local high school coaches from the Lancaster and Depew communities, and continued support from our generous sponsors Lancaster-Depew Baseball League has implemented an operations plan for sustainability for the next ten (10) years and beyond.

The Indoor Training Facility is open from September through the end of July each year and many different local sports organizations have utilized the facility for their scrimmage games, training sessions, practices, and meetings. We look forward to seeing you and your family at the Indoor Training Facility.
